The material provides for accurate results with an outstanding dimensional stability. FotoDent® denture is MMA-free and stable of colour.
Processing
- During the application of FotoDent® tray we recommend wearing personal protective equipment e. g. suitable gloves, safety goggles etc.
- FotoDent® tray should be well shaken for a minimum of 30 seconds, 1 hour before use.
- Carefully pour FotoDent® tray into the pre-determined container of the production unit.
- Please see further steps within printer manual.
- Remove all bubbles with a cleaned object.
- Select the product specific parameter settings for FotoDent® tray for your process.
- Direct finishing is recommended after completion of the printing process.
- After the platform is taken up a dripping off time of approx. 10 minutes is recommended.
- Prewash the printed parts in 97 % Isopropanol (IPA) in an ultrasonic bath for 2 minutes in a container, afterwards mainwash for additional 2 minutes in a container with fresh Isopropanol. Dry the printed part with compressed air. For a particular effective cleaning with isopropanol, the use of explosion-protected ultrasonic units is recommended.
- Afterwards temper the denture base in an oven at 90 °C for 10 minutes.
- In order to remove polymerized residues from the printer material container and to homogenise FotoDent® denture, remove the container from the printer and filter the FotoDent® denture through a fine 190 Micron paint strainer. To avoid bubbles, let the material rest for 1 to 2 hours prior to use, after filtration.
To avoid compromising material quality, do not expose the liquid material to light under any circumstances. Variations from the described manufacturing process may impair biocompatibility, lead to modified mechanical characteristics and/or color variations of the FotoDent® denture material.
